The Profound Benefits of Forest Bathing

What is Forest Bathing?

Simply being present in the natural world can have a very healing effect as we open our senses to our surroundings.  We can rediscover a connection with nature, lower our blood pressure and stress levels, and provide a boost to our immune systems.  This is forest bathing or shinrin-yoku, a practice inspired by the Japanese tradition.

Benefits can include:

*lower blood pressure

*increased sense of relaxation

*improvement in mood

*boost for immune system

*lower heart rate

Suzy Conroy, Dedicated Mindful Outdoor Guide

Connecting people to nature

Hi there, I’m Suzy Conroy, a certified Mindful Outdoor Guide trained at the Kripalu School for Mindful Outdoor Leadership. I am based in the Capital Region of NY. In 2020, I fell in love with forest bathing and I love to share my enthusiasm for the outdoors and nature through mindful experiences in nature. When not working my day job I can be found doing yoga, walking the family Labrador retriever or guiding mindful outdoor experiences.  I have climbed all 46 of the Adirondack High Peaks (Adk 46er) and live in the Capital District with my family and Labrador retriever.  My motto is “everything is better al fresco”! Your journey begins from within. Are you ready to join me?
