I’m officially kicking off my new adventure: Terra Trek NY! Welcome to my blog on any and all things related to connecting with nature. I plan to offer useful resources and tips, share research on the benefits of forest bathing, poetry and mindful bits and of course hiking adventures and happenings.
This is my Covid lockdown silver lining story. On my first visit to the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in April of 2019 I saw a sign for the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership School (KSMOL) and my first thought was “that’s a thing? You can do that?” and “I want to do THAT”! So, I filed it away as a retirement occupation for later years. But my opportunity came sooner when Kripalu temporarily closed all in person activities due to Covid and offered the Mindful Outdoor Guide certification live and on-line. One weekend into the training I found a like minded community and I was hooked. Fast forward a bit and here I am (not retired) but offering my guiding services on weekends.
My goal is to foster the connection between people and the living earth in whatever way I can, small or large. Come walk with me!
“An early morning walk is a blessing for the whole day”.
